It’s owned by a brother and sister team with more than 25 years of combined experience and talent. Gortin Group is a women-owned business as well as a certified minority business enterprise through Historically Underutilized Business, Minority Business Enterprise and Small Business Enterprise.
Gortin Group engages in all aspects of a construction project from planning and designing to project managing and executing. Gortin Group is also able to work with seasoned developers on large-scale projects.
In 2017, Aivel Gordils and Hernando Gordils, a sister and brother team, tackled small renovation projects for family and friends. Aivel managed the administrative details while Hernando supervised the construction site.
The Venezuelan duo realized they worked well together and formally founded Gortin Group in 2021. The company’s name, “Gortin,” honors their parents’ last names Gordils and Tinedo. And Group includes the portfolio of trusted vendors and tradespeople working with them.
Since then, Gortin Group has managed more than 30 commercial and residential projects under its General Contractors License. Gortin Group carefully manages local subcontractors with experience in concrete, electric, flooring, framing, grading, plumbing and tile.
